Entrepreneurship Stream

Entrepreneurship Stream students complete an ExEC Experiential Entrepreneurship course that is utilized at 180+ universities.

ExEC is a comprehensive and structured, experiential resource that actively engages students in entrepreneurial experience, through skill-based, immersive group experiences. Entrepreneurial Stream students retain lifetime access to the ExEC course. The ExEC curriculum is a customer development-centric study with a lean start-up approach while leading the student from ideation to commercialization.

Students learn business model validation by designing and testing their own business models through practical projects.

KEY CONCEPTS INCLUDE:

  • Quality idea generation and minimum viable product validation through prototype creation and feedback from prospective customers
  • The basics of revenue modeling, financial projections, and business viability
  • Developing customers and the importance of an in-depth understanding of the customer through effective customer interview techniques
  • Problem-solving through experimenting with solutions for problems faced by market segments that they know something about.
  • Highlights include the typical dangers of relying on untested assumptions

Perseverance and learning to search for problems worth solving. An example requires students to identify the customer segment they already belong to, as well as examine solutions to problems they encounter as members of these segments
